Kids break in to West Bay residence
(CNS): Two teenage boys have been arrested following the report of a burglary in West Bay on Sonny Powery Drive, West Bay, yesterday. Police said that they received a report in the afternoon at about 12:45pm from the occupant, who was alerted by a banging sound, and when they went to check saw the boys running from the residence. The two juveniles, who are aged 14 and 15 years, had reportedly escaped from a side door but the culprits were apprehended by police some time later.
The boys apparently entered the residence through a kitchen window that had been closed but not locked, but nothing was reported missing. Officers from West Bay Police Station attended the residence and a short time later two young suspects were arrested. The incident is now under investigation.
Anyone with information about crime taking place in the Cayman Islands should contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477 (TIPS). All persons calling Crime Stoppers remain anonymous, and are eligible for a reward of up to $1000, should their information lead to an arrest or recovery of property/drugs.

Make them do some community work in a bright pink uniform and print of the jumpsuits "I commit a CRIME"
Let them clean up their own districts by walk the streets and pick up the garbage. If they refuse send them to jail.

Where are the parents? where are the security and the Police?
The parents might have been thinking that these kids were at school so they are at work. Why did the school not call the parents when they noticed (I hope they did) these kids are not in class?

We need to start with the Parents, they are the ones who deserves the punishment!!

Why does the Community have to Babysit your children? Step up to the Plate and act like and Adult (if you are)(cause there’s a lot of Babies having babies now a days).
A few year in prison for the parents should send out the right message. Caymanians need to bring up their kids properly, don’t ignore them when you’re out drinking and beating your wives every night.
All the bad boy wankstas should be made to pay for the children they father with teenage single mums. The schools should teach sex education.
Clearly the parents need to be brought to task on this – that is, unless they want to be the ones standing graveside when their little ones escalate to more violent crimes…
Crime is progressive and I only hope these youths are seriously punished in the hope they will find the straight and narrow.
Of course, since they know you can literally get away with murder, they might see this as just an unfortunate lucky catch by the Really Crappy Island Police (RCIP).
Increase the reward to levels similar to what Mr. Howell of Quick Cash has offered and maybe more people would put aside their fears and make a legitimate report in hope of receiving the reward. $1000 is not incentive. It might be a warped way of thinking but we are dealing with human nature. People no longer do something because it is morally correct. They do something for something. Try it it. It just might work. Lets see if the Quick Cash suspects are caught. If they are then it is worth a try. The fact of the matter is that the criminal feels empowered and we have to find way to let them know that the society will not protect them. We as a society should look out for our neighbours. We need to empower ourselves to fight this dangerous crime trend. Otherwise you could be the next victim and statistic.
Why were these kids not at school?
Why were these boys not in school and where are the parents! They too should be held accountable!!! What a sad sad state this country is in. AND STILL NOT A PEEP FROM MAC ABOUT ALL THE CRIME HAPPENING HERE!! Shame on you!!
Because he can not do any finger pointing or political spin doctoring on these incidents hence he can not get any apparent political gain out of them.
