Forecasters predict rainy day for royal wedding

| 25/04/2011

(Telegraph): Despite earlier predictions that the sun would shine on the royal newlyweds, the most recent forecast suggests hundreds of thousands of people lining the streets on Friday will get drenched. If it does rain, it also means the public will be denied the chance to see the bride and groom in an open carriage on their way back from Westminster Abbey, as a closed-in carriage is on standby to be used in wet weather. Helen Rossington, senior forecaster at MeteoGroup, said: "At the moment, it is looking like temperatures will probably be a little bit above average (on the day) and there is a risk of heavy showers.

"Temperatures will probably be somewhere in the high teens but it is difficult to pin down so far ahead. The weather is always changing, there is that risk that we are seeing on the current outlook that we have at the moment, but nearer the time the models might change a little bit," she said.

What a disgrace to still have a hereditary monarchy in a modern democracy.  The French and Russians knew what to with a monarchy (although I would rather see them marched to a train station and made to do an honest job to repay all the tax they have dodged and handouts they have taken from the ordinary people).

Careful careful there they have quite a few loyal stooges around this place who still believe! and who are more than willing to condemn their own people and land to hold up this imaginery rubbish. My kind of loyality is to one’s country not to it’s institutions and it’s office holders. In return it has serve those very people very well economically and social in our little society here, sadly to the detriment of the younger generations who they now deem unworthy to such foolishness. Saying all of that i wish Kate & William the best and kudos for not inviting Gordon Brown Tony Blair and Obama you guys are Great!

Will it rain? Will it not rain? What will they wear? what if the horses poop? What color of hat will theQueen wear? This is getting worse than Teen Beat magazine. Let’s be honest they are a couple of ordinary individuals getting married who will live extravagantly in a castle and never do a day’s work. And have pampered lives at public expense. So what?

The year is 2011 and we are still playing these ‘royalty’ games?

They serve as much purpose today as the stingrays out on the sandbar … a mere tourist attraction.

    Honestly? Really? Royal? Lol!

The last I heard we were supposed to be fighting against terrorism, dictatorship, corruption, oppression and inhumanity in the world.

However, here we are being encouraged to support and celebrate one of the greatest legacies of all of the above.

I am sorry, but personally – the hypocrisy and irony is simply too great.

Utter tosh. Surely these people are irrelevant? They’ll be increasing taxes shortly to pay for all of this. It’s a ludicrous deception, this whole monarchy thing. It means absolutely nothing, benefits no one except the chosen few. I hope it rains buckets.
