For a real good time island style crime free and fun the place to go is Anguilla, quaint, friendly natives, beautiful beaches and not over developed.

Gone are the good old days, just like the Coco-Plum trees on West Bay Road, Turtles, Conch, Whelks, Lobsters, land Crabs, Mangroves, Chamello trees, Cayman Jew plum trees, Garden Parties and a real Cayman day when everyone knew everyone who you mama, and papa is.  The changing of the guard has happened sadly enough we have lost so much .  Those of us old enough will remember the goood ole days when the  old Holiday Inn, Beach Club, Galleon Beach and Royal Palms were people of all ages went to have a fun filled, free of violence outing where the young, old middle aged, Caymanians and expats mingled and interacted with each other without pride or prejudice.

Yes indeed – I caught the tail end of it in 1979. What a fantastic place Grand Cayman was then, all you say. Thanks for the memories, friend. God bless you.

OK Mr. Welds and Harry Lali of the Tourism Associaton, I hope you realise the damage of these licences, and they are still ebgging for extended hours, even they already can open at 12:01am on Sunday mornings – disrespecting our traditional day of rest and worship.

The troubled corner in Batabano the "New, Expanded" liquor stor reopened over the weekend – with the usual fights and police calls-outs to the scend from the first day!

    Great Going Cayman…

As someone that is currently looking to move to Cayman, is this (and the recent firearms issues) something that is considered "regular/normal" now on the islands?

I know there has been a rise, but does someone who mostly keeps to him/herself end up having to wrry about this constantly now in Cayman?

Hope this all gets sorted out, and maybe this moving situation as well! 😀

Yes-I'd seriously consider moving someplace else if I were you. Everyone is watching their backs now and so many conversations revolve around what type of weapon is kept by the bedside…other than that, not forgetting the high cost of living, corruption, disregard for the environment, poor driving and the huge amount of loons running around, its a nice place to live!                                                                                                                                                                                                              If you're lucky, you might even get the first months rent free!!!
