Individual health coverage a ‘national crisis’

Gilbert 2011 Image.JPG(CNS Business): Premiums being paid to private health insurers are “astronomical”, according to former health minister Gilbert McLean, who believes they are creating a "national crisis”. However, the recent decision by Cayman First not to take on any new individual health insurance policies further reduces options in Cayman for people who do not have access to group coverage, causing concern among those with knowledge of the industry.
