Put "cow itch" in the decoy bag.  When they get into it, everyone will soon know the identity of the guilty party!

What happened to the case over at Progressive Distributors? One of the managers was gunned down in the parking lot. Was someone arrested for that murder?

Check the stores for some insect spray. One brand made for Wasp's can spray up to 20 feet, go check it out.

Sorry to say but this is the best and most useful suggestion women have to work with right now. Until they ban insect repellant and household cleaners carry a spray can of Raid or Lysol in your bag (good thing that trend for HUGE handbags is still around). My son plays softball so I have him leave his bat and glove in the car at all times. Once I've sprayed the creep I can hopefully break an arm or leg. Not an ideal course of action but what choice am I left with?

Yes what a disgrace every single day the common people have to facedown these gunmen. With all that money spent on this foreign controlled police service and more piling up to come here. Even more shameful not a soul is saying a word about  the situation. Its is just a matter of time before someone is murdered by one of these robbers which they will then  use to justify bring even more to employ.

I would love to know what happens to the police investigation with this sort of crime.  Is anyone assigned to it? Do they actively investigate? What have they found so far? I get the impression some disinterested desk cop takes a statement from the victim then it goes on a pile somewhere and no-one ever looks at it again. I hope that's not true but that is the impression RCIPS gives.

To answer your question (from firsthand experience). They show up after stopping by the closest fast food establishment, take your name and address, tell you their pencil/pen is not working, the advise you to come to the station to provide a report. Once you arrive they tell you the officer in charge of taking the report is going to be at the station between the hours of 10PM-3AM and ask you of you’d like to wait or if it would be alright to send an officer to your residence between those ridiculous hours, of you agree the officer never shows. You go to the station the next morning and they search thru paperwork and regret to inform you they are unable to locate the occurance and tell you to come back tomorrow bc their pizza was just delivered and they are now unable to process your report.

And once the report is filed you don't hear from them again until they call to say they haven't found anything out so they are closing the file…

Its not funny – its the truth! Police took 3 hrs to respond to our 991 call, then asked us to give our statements 3 days later at 11.30pm – the statement took over 3 hours as the officer was typing with one finger. And.. after all that – no result. Its a disgrace.

Everybody relax. The Premier is fine so there is no need to do anything about crime.

If we had a real leader he would be on this crime wave but we don't. Traveling on our money is what he cares about. Turning a blind eye on crime will get him votes in West Bay only but his stooges in other districts will pay the price.

EYE ON THE ISLAND the premeir and these islands are in a bad situation.

Mother country is busy telling us to cut our spending on the Civil Servants.

The country has been busy cutting all other departments while allowing the Police to grow.

Maybe your next suggestion would be to have our politicians operate as police.

Despite what I have said so far most people in this country do not believe that the police is performing. The problem is that you may or should start almost from scratch.

    West Bay have detectives too?

    okie dokie…

I guess the Po Po's will say they could not find or get their guns now! Just another day another poor victim of robbery in these islands run and controlled by a foreign police service.

I'm sick of reading that no one was hurt becase this is not ture.  Women in Cayman are being mentally abused, living in fear of getting out of a car alone at night. And our STUPID laws prevent women from carrying various items to protect themselves.

It is PATHETIC that in an island with approximately 60,000 people, where everyone knows everyones business who can gossip on the street but won't turn in criminals, and with police cameras everywhere, that these people are not in jail tonight.

Something is seriously wrong with this country.

lADIES YOU WILL HAVE TO CARRY A DECOY HAND BAG, Just in case someone wants to rob you.  Then after they have taken the decoy bag, you take out the real bag later and go home.
