Miss Nadine's visit April 2012 (298x300).jpg(CNS): It’s never too early to teach kids how to stay safe and as a result George Town neighbourhood police officer, PC Tamara Jackson talked to toddlers last week about being safe at home, in the park and on the street. Speaking to children at Miss Nadine’s pre-school aged between just two and four years old, the officer gave the kids a close up of her police car. The kindergarten principal Caroline Ebanks said it was a great experience for the students to be able to interact with the police.

“The students learnt about street safety and being safe around strangers, which was also a part of the graduating class curriculum that day,” she said.
Jackson added that it was great to seethat the children were enthusiastic and keen to learn.

“They all seemed to enjoy the presentation and loved seeing the police car. Those who answered questions correctly were also presented with stickers. The visit to Miss Nadine’s is all part of building positive relationships with the schools, communities and the students. I hope to be back at the school soon to talk again with the children about more safety subjects,” she added.

Anyone who wishes to arrange similar presentations within their own pre-schools/ schools should contact their nearest police office.
