Charity box thief caught on camera

| 30/05/2012

Burger King 26 May - 2.jpg(CNS): A man who stole a charity box containing cash from a fast food restaurant was caught on camera last week. Officers investigating the theft of the box from Burger King on Walkers Road last week have released CCTV images of the suspect. Police said the theft occurred around 7:30am on Saturday, 26 May, when a group of around five men distracted staff at the fast-food restaurant. One of the men then grabbed the charity box and cycled off from the location. The box, minus the cash, was recovered a short distance from the store on Sunday. The suspect is described as male with a dark complexion and braided hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt and light coloured three quarter length jeans.

Burger King 26 May - 1.jpgAnyone who can identify the man in the attached stills should contact George Town police station on 949-4222.

Immigration need to watch Cuban women coming in from Jamaica to visit man friends.  They are drug dealers and criminals.  Also they  have to watch women coming in from Penslyvania USA, and the Bahamas.   Visiting the same person here.   They are drug dealers with criminal record.  Deportees and criminal killers.   Sometimes you know plenty but can only give a hint.  So it is up to the Immigration to read through the lines and watch for them.

These women are not working, they only come for a 2 week or one month visit,  they are criminals,  buit they are making big drug deals between their JA friend  here setting up in transhipment of drugs. through JA Bahamas, and USA.

I very much hope to see a headline in the next day or so that says that these scumbags have been caught and locked up.

    • Where is that headline says:

Where is that headline? No one knows this person? Somebody must know this person. Or hassomeone been held and it has not yet been reported?

  4. KMT says:

what government needs to do is clean up all these people who are here on work permit and are actually not working.  Seriously do they really hate where they come from that bad? yet all they do is complain about Cayman this and that! so sick of it!

    • KMTed says:

What Government needs to do is figure out what to do about the Caymanians who will not work, cause a lot of the crime and then complain about it.

  5. FKNGFRUSTRATED says:

Blasted Thieves seriously need go back to they dyam country, thus, making it harder to recognise faces that we no longer can associate with on this island.  We have enough our own Caymanian problems to study,

So, steal from the needy and give to who?

I'm loving that CCTV is now catching these ratbags on camera.  However, what chance does the public have of identifying them if the clarity of the photo isn't very good.  Additionally, is there an RCIPS website dedicated to posting photo's of wanted criminals?  If not, perhaps there should be, and if there is, can someone please let me know the web address.  Thanks.

  8. Voice of reason says:

Why is it that we are quick to blame the RCIPS or our politicians for the ills of our society?  Where are the people who distracted the BK staff? What happen to the parents, neighbours and siblings who interact with this genius? Can somebody tell me why we are now a community of thinkers riddled by speculation, instead of doers armed with common sense?

  9. Homer Simpson says:

Also looks like a distinctive bike with white coloured wheels. I know there are not that many bikes out there with white rimmed wheels.

Lets narrow it down people. Please do not be afraid to call the police at any time. Remember this is all a domino effect for a lot of us. If crime continues, it means lees people visitng. Which means less people spending. Which means less product coming in. Which means laying off staff. Which means no construction being built for new buildings/empty units. Which means no hiring of construction workers. If you know who it is tell the police, and judging by him having construction boots, I'm figuring, and going out on a limb and say he is a construction worker.

    Sick & tired now

I wish these criminals could be put in stocks so that the public can go and rotten food and rotten eggs at them – public humiliation at best.  They can also do community service.

Looks like he 's wearing only one boot .If that is his boot left behind it should provide some valuable DNA evidence.

If we can't catch an unmasked thief, then Lord help us.

  17. Anonymous says:

Um, why is there someone's old work boot sat on the counter at this fast food establishment?  Or is that what the suspect used to threaten the staff?  He seems to be wearing the same boots!

    • noname says:

Is he a Caymanian or is he one of those who were lucky to have a Caymanian friend take out a work permit for him with no work to do!

If he is employed, he should not be stealing for any reason.

Curious to hear his socioeconomic assessment!

      • Anonymous says:

Why are you only interested to blame Caymanians?

      • Anonymous says:

I personally know a few that has taken out permits for expats that have no job just so they can stay on island..  They should have a hefty fine for doing that!  Too bad, Govt is so hardup for the permit revenue to give a d@mn! **sigh**

        • Mutant Turtle says:

8:28, If you personally know a few, then let the appropriate authorities know anout them!

          • noname says:

And then the appropriate authorities will tell on you.  Its Cayman remember?

          • Anonymous says:

Mutant Turtle 13:47, You just do not get it do you.  The criminals that come in here who are drug dealers and murders.  The first thing they do is make friends with police.   Doing them favours when they go to have their cars fixed, or something to be done at their company.

I see them, I hear them speaking about certain police whom I know is in high rank  here,  and saying that is my friend.  But the police do not know he is friending a criminal drug king Pin.

My suggestion to the police is Watch your company.  Dont take any favours from these back road, side road mechanics and welders, you are putting your stripes in jeapordy.

    • Anonymous says:

14:41  stop talking nonsence about old boot, it it that you do not want anyone to look at the culprits facer.  Its Plain as a New Penny.  We do not want to hear anything about any old boot.  You get back to the face.  Do you see who it is.?

      • Sherlock Holmes says:

No, not as yet. But I'll tell you one thing, in my considered opinion he put the boot on the counter in order to do precisely what you suggest 14.41 of doing i.e. diverting the public's focus away from his face and onto his boot. And it seems to be working. Obviously we're dealing with quite a clever fellow here. Either that or he comes from a household where it's required that persons remove their footware upon entering, and he just removed his boots from habit, which hopefully might narrow the search down a bit. Let's all just keep our eyes peeled for someone who does this, and if we do spot him, call the police immediately.

      • Anonymous says:

WTF are you talking about?  I am certainly not trying to make anyone look at anything but evidence, just like his face is evidence, so is his damned boot and the print it most likely left behind on the counter… tsssk.

    • Anonymous says:

Don’t understand why people find this funny. Obviously he was carrying his workboots when he entered the store and when he left he put them on and rode away.

Don’t think this fellow shows up for his construction job tomorrow. And if he does I doubt he’d be wearing those boots. There’s a lot of evidence on this guy right now. This guy needs to turn himself in.

Unusual T-shirt. Unusual face. Dreads. Come on we got this guy.

  18. Cheese Face says:

Did they get pictures of the rest of the scum bags?

Low life scum the lot of them, get a job or p**s off back to your caves and die.

  19. Knee Slapper says:

I take it he didn't want fries with that. What a whopper this guy is. Hey CNS, can you do us a favour and Supersize the picture.

CNS: The files attached are the largest we have. If Burger King or the RCIPS send us larger files, I'll attach those instead.

    • Anonymous says:

The picture is not as effective as it should be, due to the numbers across the face, which could be the time or some other log info.

      • Anonymous says:

Why dont you get a reading glass and look at the face riding the bicycle?  Its plain as day light.

This is a very good shot, but the police I must say does not want to find any of these robbers.

The police had good footage of the face on the TV robery, and this one is plain as daylight.  So tell me  why no large poster has not been put in the News paper.

For petes sake Officers, Local people  who would recognize this person dont have internet.  What are you waiting on.  I can see every day why you offiers a talked about, because you just do not do the right things.

13:41 You mean off the Island.  That would sound better.  So think again.

      • Immigration Watch Dog. says:

Yes 18:15 Off the Island sounds much better.   But too many work permits and these people do not have a job.  Just a few days ago a man who has just gotten a temporary work permit for three months came to me asking if I had anything he could do.  I replied to him, but dont you have a work permit.  His reply was yes but the woman does not have any employment for him, and she works him two days a week for for her getting the permit.  The man is sleeping at an old broken down house they have, and he walks about all day looking work.

It is not my job to go to immigration.  Immigration staff  is just  too lazy to follow up on applications.    If they do not have the time then employ someone to do this job for Christ sake.   They put on the work permit forms, asking where you are living.  The Employer signs onebedroom, one bathroom and one living room,  IT IS ALL A  PACK OF LIES, AND THE SAD THING ABOUT IT IS IMMIGRATION KNOW.  So how can this Island get any better when our own Immigration Depart ment is not doing their job.

What happen to the days when Inforcement would visit these low scum apartments 5 am in the morning and round up oversdtayers.  IMMIGRATION IS TO BLAME FOR ALL THAT IS HAPPENING.

Men are down here and get someone to take out a permit for their woman, she ha no job but go and give the workpermit holder a day or two for the week. The man he is a big drug seller, so they make it.  Immirgation department you are not doing your job.

And if they are not originally from here, would you also support returning them to wherever they came from?

Immigration should be able to assist with the picture.  IT is so clear and easy.  Do they have it on file?  Can the match and find it,  Oh dear me.
