West Bay man stable in wake of stabbing

(CNS): A man is in stable condition after he was stabbed during an incident in the Mount Pleasant area of West Bay on Friday night. Police said that 911 received a report at around 10pm last night and emergency services and police were sent to the scene, where they found the victim. The man had sustained stab wounds in his back and abdominal areas but he was conscious and breathing. He was taken by ambulance to the George Town hospital, where he was admitted and is currently being treated. There are no details available from the RCIPS about the circumstances and CID is said to be investigating.

    The liquor storeis what draws them there.  They hang around to bum and beg drinks and/or money to buy drinks/drugs.  All with a police camera right over them.

    Increase the effectiveness and size of the police force, increase the size and thereby the effectiveness of the EMS. Seems pretty easy to me, and yet the government just won't do what's right.

    The police need to move on all the thugs that hang around Batabano Plaza every day, its very intimidating to use those shops!!

    The Police and the owner of this establishment should do more about the guys that hang around there loitering.  Drugs are being sold and consumed around the area and customers are afraid to visit due to the fear of being harassed or robbed.
