Machete fight in West Bay, man stabbed in GT

(CNS): Two men were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town last night following a fight in West Bay, which police said involved a machete. Both men were released after they had been treated for non-life threatening injuries and one man was arrested. The incident in West Bay happened around 9:40pm when police responded to the report of two men fighting on Powell Smith Drive, West Bay. In a separate incident, another man was injured at a night club on Crew Road, George Town, at around 2:00 Saturday morning, when he received a number of stab wounds to his abdomen and hand. He remains in the George Town hospital. 

Police are asking anyone who was in the area of the George town incident to contact the George Town police station at 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.

The police said Officers are asking anyone who was in the area of the West Bay incident to contact the West Bay police station at 949-3999 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.
