Cyclist knocked unconscious and robbed
(CNS): A man who was cycling home from work last night was attacked and robbed. Police say a member of the public called 911 at around 12:40am (3 September) reporting that he had found a man lying unconscious in the road on Courts Road. Police and medics responded to the scene and the man was taken to hospital. He has since told police that he was cycling home from work when he felt a blow to the back of his head and passed out.
The man has suffered a head injury and remains in hospital in a stable condition. A number of items the man was carrying, including a wallet, had been taken from him.
It is not known at what time the offence took place and officers would like to hear from anyone with information. Anyone who can help should contact George Town CID on 949-4222.

All persons calling Crime Stoppers remain anonymous, and are eligible for a reward of up to $1000, should their information lead to an arrest or recovery of property/drugs.

My understanding is that Courts Road is very near to Dog City, a well known drug area.
RCIP, maybe you could drive on Courts road and see if the roads are well lited and if not assist the people who lives in the area by contacting CUC for some assistance.

Courts Road is right across from Kirk Supermarket and yes, it is a well lighted area. Doesn’t matter what area it is. Drugs etc are all over Cayman in all types of areas Judge not lest ye be judged. It didn’t happen becuase of a certain area.

What makes you think the guy could tell where they are from? Maybe we all look the same to him or given that he was hit in the back of the head from behind likely saw nothing.
I agree it does not matter where he’s from – just a description to say what he looks like so they can be apprehended would be nice!

JUST ONE THING, can we get a little more information on who is doing the knocking out and who is falling to the ground?????????? Not the names but where they are from. Like BT Chicken knocked out George Town Cat.. Or better than that Yankie lmock out yardie. We got to know who is doing these things..
