Declare a public holiday on the busiest week day!  Way to go to give a boost to the economy!

Let’s keep sticking it to our small businesses…………….

never thought people would complain about a holiday.  Yall need ta shut up now.  Seriously, I support CNS but all I ever read now is negative, complaining, junk that hardly ever does any good for anyone but add to the problem.

Bunch of toilet mouths we got for people… all they speak is full of it

Change is a mindset, improvement is it’s goal.

Hey you, stop being so negative. Can’t you say something nice?

All you ever do is complain and complain about all the complaining. What does that solve?

Cayman Taliban, you are not a Caymanian and I would bet my life on that.

You have just come on this site and want to give Caymanians a bad name.  So go and sit your a** down.

    • Makam says:

We don’t need Cayman Taliban to give us a bad name we are doing preety good ourselves…well at least Mac is

  7. Cayman Taliban says:

Also, why is it a holiday for everyone? Only true blood Caymanians should have this holiday, not the expats.

All the bars MUST be closed on that day otherwise the expats will get drunk and have their pagen parties where they prey to Satan and eat Caymanian babies.

OK you better get your ass to work on the Queen’s birthday then – we don’t even get that as a public holiday in England!

Yay! Let’s celebrate the launch of our new constitution that doesn’t include a real bill of rights. Yay!

Hooray! It’s 2009 and we didn’t have the brains and morals to demand constitutional protection for all from discrimination based on race, gender, handicap, sexuality, and religion. Yay!

Yay! We’re number one! We’re so cool we don’t need a modern constitution. Yay! Let’s have a parade. We rule! Yay!

We can celebrate the crystallisation of a claim against the UK government under the Human Rights for approving legislation that does not sufficiently protect rights guaranteed under the ECHR.

Can anyone say extra long weekend??!!  Thanks for the extra day (that’s all I have to say)  I will be on a flight out of here for sure. YAY!!!

Wow! a whole day just to see Mac XXX become Cayman’s First Premier and then we have an additional 3 days to celebrate with him. What a deal! I  do hope Cayman Airways are putting on a weekend Christmas shopping getaway special. Even though I know Customs are patiently waiting to make some more money LOL!  Anything would do, as long as I don’t have to stay here, to see that XXX man becomes our First Premier.  What he needs a whole weekend for anyway? They could had done that in the LA without anyone knowing. Thats all he deserves because he has been our worse Politician on record, and that a known fact!!!!

You know what baffles me?!…when folks make remarks that are emotionally driven and targets one who has nothing to do with particular decisions.  If I recall correctly, it was Mac who originally voted NO against the constitution…when the UDP won the election he now becomes the Premier…then people curse him?

Now His Excellency The Governor makes a decision to make this historical moment a public holiday and they curse Mac.

He’s by no means my favorite politician, I do not support much of his ambitions, but that does not change the fact that I respect the man and I will show him respect unless circumstances change significantly.  Finally i will not hold him responsibile for something he did not do.

      Let’s be fair…call a spade a spade.

You are easily baffled. If you believe that just because the order is signed by the Governor that it was his idea or even his decision to make it a Public Holiday, the God only knows what else you are willing to believe.

agreed, if PPM had won David, Dennie and that whole bunch would be singing praises to Kurt. McKeeva isn’t my favorite person either but I will tell you on that day I will say a little prayer thanking God that it is McKeeva and not Kurt.

My days of supporting the PPM are long gone!

      • Makam says:

Come on if you don’t believe it was Mac who decided on this extra days holiday you must be stupid! But, there again you peobably voted for him in the first place so it’s not surprising you posted that comment.

All I want to know is where do I get the tickets for all the parties / trips Mac is going to throw (at our expense)!

    • Anonymous says:

      Well, besides Kurt that is…

Can the country afford this? Civil servants not working? Do we remember the expense of quincentennial celebrations? Fancy National Heroes Day?
