| 18/11/2010

(CNS): The Cayman Islands Fire Service was out in force this morning (Thursday 18 November) as crews were called out to extinguish a fire that was burning inside what appeared to be an unoccupied building in George Town. The property where the fire caught was behind a house on Marina Drive, in Prospect. A rescue unit and two fire trucks responded to the 911 call made this morning and officials have confirmed that an investigation is now underway. It is understood that no one was hurt and the CIFS described it as a minor fire. Although CUC trucks were seen close by officials have not confirmed if it was an electrical fire.      The photo of the two guys looks like they have just returned from a mission on Mars. Very Professional.

I say we all take a few moments to give due respect to these guys. They put much at risk and we don’t regularly hear them complain.

Well done my fellow Caymanians, this is a government service that is in my opinion the most professional and also the most organized.

We all take countless amounts of hours to leave negative comments but fail to recognize these guys and the others (both men and women) like them who live and create our blessed community.

Hats off just for a moment to you all. Let us all be grateful for the good things that we have and the bad ones that make us stronger.

May we all try to live a more humble life and recognize the true good things we are blessed with.
