EMT punched after pile-up
(CNS): Following a four-car accident on the West Bay Road Friday evening, in which two people were injured, one of the emergency medical technicians was punched, the RCIPS has reported. Although information from the police is still sparse, the RCIPS says that four vehicles were involved. One person who was taken to the hospital for chest pains was later arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving. A second individual was also admitted to hospital for head pain and dizziness. A police officer has said she received information that one of the EMT's was punched, though it is not clear if this person was involved in the accident or if they have been arrested.

I was one of the first of the public to come on this accident on Friday.
1 of the guys was very concerned about his sister and was very irrate and hostile towards the driver of the car.
I called 911 and was giving them details of who was injured and who acting in what manner.
When the Police finally arrived I told them to watch the driver and the passenger as they were hostile with each other and with the members of the public that had gather to help them.
Well my thing is that the Police should have watch these guys more closer and maybe just maybe they would not have assualted one for emergency responders.
The only thing stopping drunk drivers on this island are the people that get in their way.
I personally know the first responder that was struck while attending the scene of the accident. He is a firefighter and as he was assisting an EMT with the removal of an individual from one of the vehicles involved in the crash, he was punched. Up to the time of this post, the firefighter has not been spoken to or questioned regarding the incident, neither by his superiors at the CI Fire Service nor the RCIP. That is appalling!
You're new around here, aren't you? If you want the attention of the RCIPS you need to be a hot chick in a car, otherwise leave them alone to nap in their sports-car cruisers under the palm trees.
Either that or mek someone call the station and say you smokin a a spliff. THEN you get some ‘ttention!!!
And past politicians that running again licking people with cow rod…
He was acquitted.
Chewbacca lives on Endor.
I have no knowledge of this case or the people involved but just wanted to point out something that many people may not think of when attending an accident scene and approaching people. Sometimes during sports or vehicular accidents, people can sustain head trauma which can not only cause pain, swelling and dizziness but fear, confusion, partial blindness, erratic behavior and even random or misdirected aggression. IF this individual who punched the EMT was involved in the accident, I hope that he was given a head CT and monitored accordingly. My sincere gratitude goes out to the men and women whose job puts their own personal safety at risk every day, to preserve ours.
Why would anyone want to punch the people who have just come to your assistance?
ANYONE that assaults a member of the emergency services trying to do their job of saving lives has to have the book thrown at them. No if's, no buts, they go to jail as an example to others of their cowardly and disgraceful behaviour. I hope the RCIPS track this individual down quickly for arrest and prosecution. Let this incident slide by and you encourage others to do the same cowardly act.
Wow. Assault on any kind on a emt or medic in the states is a felony offense and results in jail time .
We have wannabe politicians assault policemen and they still run at the next election.
