Crane-fallen-2013 494 (400x360).jpg(CNS): Police were busy trying to tackle a crane which was blocking the Linford Pierson highway in both directions yesterday after the lift reportedly fell into the road during transportation sometime after 9am Wednesday. It is not clear how the crane fell over but it caused traffic to be diverted as efforts were made to move the heavy equipment from the road. The crane was eventually removed sometime in the afternoon.

If this happened while it was being transported, how come the crane arm is almost at full extension?
Looks more like it was being operated without the outrigger support legs & has toppled over.

It wasnt extended at first, but when the crane passed a good looking and pretty firetruck, it got excited and extended.

This is what you get when you hire persons with no knowledge of cranes or the safe transportation of them. The owner should be held  responsible and answer to this serious problem. CHEAP LABOR.

This one of the main reasons we need 2 roads in and out of West Bay.  Is this the beginning or the end???

Yes, that is one problem with the Cayman labor market which forces you to hire people you don't want because immigration don't let you hire the people you do want.
