Cops charge teen street robbery suspect

(CNS): A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with two muggings in the capital. The teenager was charged with robbery, attempted robbery and theft and is due to appear in court tomorrow morning. The teenager was arrested in Bodden Town on Tuesday 9 April in connection with a daylight street robberyin Dr Roy’s Drive on 23 March, when a woman was robbed of her handbag, and an attempted robbery in Newport Avenue on 4 April, when another woman was pulled to the ground and an attempt made to steal her handbag, again in the middle of the day. The boy has also been charged with the theft of a bicycle.
