PPM sweeps Bodden Town

| 23/05/2013

0zzie.JPG(CNS): Anthony Eden, Ozzie Bodden, Wayne Panton and Al Suckoo made a clean sweep in Bodden Town when the result came in at around 4:15am. The numbers positioned the Progressive as the potential new government but with the George Town count still underway, who will be the new premier remains in question. As the returning officers were announcing in districts there were no statistics immediately available at the command centre but the race was understood to be close in Bodden Town for the final seat. Meanwhile, the count continued in the capital where it was shaping up to be a straight head to head fight between the C4C and PPM.

PPM sweep of BT was only possible because Mark and John John split with UDP.

It they stayed UDP, or was actually considered UDP Lite then the numbers surely would have been different. (do the math)

But good spin PPM.  Get to work now… you have big shoes to fill

I really hope they don't fill those shoes which accomplished nothing.

I have high hopes for my beautifulcountry again. Finally a Government and Premier we can be proud to call our own.  No more intimidation in the LA, no more trading Cayman status for a vote, no more selling our land to the highest bidder, no more shady deals behind our backs, no more free first class trips around the world and nothing to show for it, no more bodyguards, free chefs, free utility bills at the people's expense, no more undesirables outnumbering us in our own country, no more awarding PR status to the wrong people, and finally no more corruption!!!    My faith has been restored and thanks to my district of Bodden Town for getting it right!!!

Are you serious Bodden Town ? Tony and Ozzie over Charles Clifford ????? And we expect improvement in BT ? We expect Tony to actually do something this term……..one thing we can say about Bodden Town is that they have hope !!! Hope that a man who has done nothing after 20 years will now wake up in his senior years and actually work !!!

Another one term Government which isn't in Bodden Town's interest. But honestly I hope I am wrong in my assessment. Good luck BT.

The person that I happen to know extremely well, holds no enemocity for anyone, has helped numerous people and assisted too many who could've done something to help themselves.  It is the mentality of our people that has taken us down the slippery slope.  Many can help one, but one can't help so many.  Let us all work together and get our district back on track.  All hands on deck and stop tearing down one another, work harder doing good and flush hate from our hearts.

Ozzie instead of Chucky?? really?? wooow.

    • SSM345 says:

It was the "cow cod"  that sealed the deal.

    • Anonymous says:

for all you dumb butts talking about cow cod and giving this thumbs downs. I would like for you all to tell me what ozzie brings to the table over Chucky. Im really trying to understand, cause allI can hear from people is that chucky is snobby and full of himself.. which i think there are tons of people who shouldnt have been elected if we based our views on that. to his defense, the man has a boat load of knowledge and attitude to get cayman out of the issues in cayman.

I disn't see him being driven around, walking with an entourage, sitting at country drinking and chatting up women, nor was he quiet with ideas and concepts to help cayman grow, without selling out our birthright.

I'd really just thought bodden town would have not decided to just not vote UDP /PNA out but actually look at the field properly. Anthony Eden?? really?? you all are saying thses people can help us dig our way out of the hole that UDP has put us in?

Whats even more shocking was that Therese was so close to be voted in, my god what a relief.

At least wayne and al got in, fresh, competent people who is bring way more to the table than some of the wasters I see will be in government already.

Go ahead dumb people, start with the humbs down instead of actually thinking about what I really said. same usual bull$hit in bodden town.

It's unfortunate that every election seeks to divide people more And after all the lies and spins are put on what actual happened. There is more bitterness

Congrats to Anthony, Osbourne, Wayne and Alva! Let the healing begin.

      • Hoping for better days says:

Healing??? Only now I feel sick to my stomach…but hey lets just continue to be oblivious to the facts and just "hope and pray" it will all work out….lets just "hope and pray"…right.

    • SSM345 says:

The only people that are bitter on this island are the 1500 eejits from WB and the other eejits sprinkled in the other districts.

I was half-hoping BT would solve Theresa's employment problems.

Maybe Chuckie is looking to hire associates.  Apparently he has made managing partner already.  He made it within 5 minutes of starting practice, so he must be very very good at what he does.

Congratulations Bodden Towners for leading the clean out of the disgrace that had enveloped our Cayman.

I am so impressed with Bodden Town, what a relief to have swept out the UDP and to not have elected the likes of motor mouth Chris Saunders!

    • Anonymous says:

Yes thank you Bodden Town but it is still scary how close you came to voting the UDP back in after all you know about the UDP.

  13. Anonymous says:

Thank God Thank God Thank God that UDP/PNA did not get back in GT.  We know there are dfificulties ahead but thank God we have decent, honourable people to lead us in BT.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, but let's make sure we hold them accountable from day one and that we remind them of all the promises they made.

I hope they learned the lesson from 4 years ago and remember how quick things can turn!

Remain humble, remain respectful towards to the people who have elected you and always put country first!

Hello disgruntled, go now, stay long and enjoy your flight.  I am so happy that the rains came and washed and cleansed Bodden Town yesterrday.  Now, we can enjoy better representation, honest and dependable governance, which will stamp out corruption and restore our prominence here and abroad.

I pray for good leadership and may God bless the Cayman Islands, that I call home for the past 70 years.
