Burglar steals empty cash pan from GT gas station

| 19/11/2013

(CNS): A burglar was left empty handed following a break-in at the Rubis gas station on Walkers Road at around 3am Tuesday morning. According to an RCIPS spokesperson the burglar ran off with an empty cash pan from the gas station store after he smashed the glass door by throwing a rock through it. The man who was wearing a cream coloured hoody entered through the broken door and stole the cashless pan before running off towards the Windsor Park area. No weapons were used and no one was injured and reports of a shotbeing fired were unfounded, the police stated.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information which could assist the police is asked to call George Town police station on 949-4222, the RCIPS tip line 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers 800-8477(TIPS).

Poor Walkers Road Rubis (nee Texaco). They are all so nice there. My God, how many times have they been robbed? It is a sad statement on the economic health of our country, (and the danger of owning a business near Windsor Park). I hope they catch the empty handed fool!

Well your statement is so condescending and stupid about owining a business next to Windsor Park being a liability. Let see how many business that are close to that area without naming then (there are at least 500 businesses within 500 feet and one mile and you tell me how many have been robbed.  Unfortunately that Rubis station is opened 24 hours and does a lot of cash transactions so dumb criminals see it as an easy target and not because it is located on Walkers Road.  If Its location was the problem so would be all the banks, offices and even South Sound because they are all within close proximity to Windsor Park.

Anny Omiss it is unfortunately that Cayman has become a place where people are now committing the type of crimes unheard of less than 15 years ago.  This is the sad truth that we now face with unemployment, immigration policies that leave the natives out numbered and disinfranchised.  This is what happen when the administration of any country and society is malfunctioning. It breeds and results in anti social behaviours and not because one lives in a certain area.
