that said Cayman is Morally bankrupt the proof is in the fact that a major drugdealers

grocery store is still full of shoppers. and an armed robber  only gets probation

and insest/rape  is OK  and people still elect criminals

Just because they spoke with Caymanian accents doesn't mean they were Caymanian. I am sure they were expats that have learned to sound like us to hind thier identity. Caymanians do not do this type of thing to people..

Wow, so all those Caymanians recently listed on cns for killing, robbing, burglary and theft are actually innocent?

That is amazing, as the jail must be full of 90% innocent caymanians too.

I did see a group of Austrians and Germans in a bar the other day practising their Cayman accents. They must be getting ready to break the truce on the central/west bay/Prussian/European gang war.

Gated communities are needed urgently to protect the financial service workers from the thieves.

Or to put it another way; gated communities are needed to keep financial services thieves away from the general public  ,it works both ways.

When seconds count the police are minutes away.  Maybe an hour.  Anyway, the average response time to a 911 call in my city is 21 minutes, whereas the average response time of my Sig Sauer 9 mm is about 1300 feet per second.  Enough said.

I'm not saying that the victim did anything wrong.    He is the victim.    It seems possible that the cowards that robbed him had an idea that he had a bit of cash.    We need to bump up our situational awareness and change our patterns so the crooks don't lay in wait for us.  …  ….  since we aren't allowed to protect ourselves with the same tools that the criminals have.

Wait, you mean they took off towards Caribbean Gardens? Oh my, you don’t say!

well dang nabbit again!! why dont all these Caymanians with their funny soundig accents go back where they came from & leave all of us expats , work permit & statutus holders (paper Caymanians) alone. We cant even feel safe in our own apartment complexs anymore. By the way where were  all dem work permit security gaurds at anyway?

You racist pieces of s**t.  Why don't you go back home from whence you come from.  As if crime doesn't happen where you come from.  If from the States just in Chicago alone the crime rate is almost has high compared to that going on in Afghanistan or Iraq where the lovely American troops feel the need to go and dictate to those of a history of 1000 of years that they need DEOMOCRACY.  China also has human rights issues and you have the nerve that you along with so call of your type of mentality leaving amongst people of ethnicity for them to get out of their own country.  It is terrible what happened to the individual but a racist comment doesn’t help.  YOU GO HOME AND DON'T LET THE DOOR SLAM ON YOU ON THE WAY OUT.  You waste of space individual.  Unfortunately crime is on the increase world wide and not just here.  With the problem this island is going through with high unemployment let's hope it doesn't get any worse.

It could happen to any of us, but I can't imagine them finding $1200 in my house on a Monday morning or any other morning of the week. Police can start with those who had knowlege of him having $1200 to steal.

Yeah, if the robbers come to my house, I'll be helping them look for the money.  lol

The problem is that the police do not do anything. My house was robbed in Red Bay a few weeks ago while I was off island. The only thing that the police did was leave a huge mess with the finger printing powder that they left all over the place. I have not even received ONE phone call from them regarding the things that were stolen from my house, nor have they made any kind of follow up calls with the owner of the house. Thank goodness Im moving island in July. Our time here is finished.
