Finger printing machines are needed, one only have to watch Border Control UK or Australia to see the benefits.  These islands are awashed with criminals from all over the world and this machine would assist greatly.  We could share data with Interpol, Canada and the USA.

That makes you laugh?   Really?  That is what happens when you never venture off a tiny island.   Your comment hints at racism.   (from a guy that doesn't have an Anglo last name)

Bring in the Finger Printing System, it’s Almost a weekly headline (outsiders scamming & messing up cayman record)

Because finger printing won't work (in this case).

From the previous article, (linked to hin this one) "the men had no previous convictions". So even if by some amazing feat of technology there was a global convictions database that was instantly querriable they wouldn't have 'pinged'.

What about the other hundreds of repeated criminals that have their prints in the Data bank of the countries they are from.

We as Caymanians have a long way to catch up with the rest of the civilized world.

I think Cayman is way ahead at having the fingerprints of hundreds of repeated criminals stored in a data bank.

Once you have straight hair and white skin and say yes maam and yes sir, dont worry you will pass in Cayman.  It does not matter whether you are a suspected criminal or a suspected home wrecker you become incharge wth those qalifiatons.

We need to pay more attention to those we least suspect.

What you envisage would be illegal under the human rights obligations binding on Cayman.
