Cops investigating after hours ‘sex romps’ at club

| 11/06/2014

(CNS): The RCIPs confirmed Wednesday morning that officers are making enquiries in connection with a complaint regarding inappropriate behaviour taking place at a George Town licensed premises. Although police officials have limited their comments on the issue, CNS understands that the complaint was made directly to the police commissioner and involved exceptionally provocative pictures allegedly taken by the management of Elements nightclub at an after-hours party. The pictures show young semi-clad women who appear to be engaging in simulated sex romps in the club.

The pictures were taken on smartphones and were posted on various social networking sites, including Instagram and Facebook, on a number of different pages.

Although the issue of the whether the pictures fall foul of the country’s obscene publications laws remains open to question, as the women appear to be acting out rather than committing sex acts, the fact that licensed premises are holding private parties after licensing hours, especially on a Saturday, is a breach of the licensing laws.

I have seen thephoto and they were doing sex romp. That is nothing as I have seen people watching hard core sex on their smartphone. They had all clothes on while hard core porn no clothes. Wake up cayman ian!

  2. MEM says:

Weeelllll, as a young Caymanian I know that if ever a smartphone caught pictures of me drunk, late night in my party days even CNN might have been interested in the news story; let these young ladies recover from this horrible experience and leave them in peace!

All right for all you Bible bashes out there, I have a question or should a say statement..

Why in the Bible, there is no mention of Jesus from the age of 12yrs to 30yrs?
And when the story starts back up, Jesus is in front of a brothel?
He’ll I know what would have if I could water into wine for all those years!! Hmmm!

    • Anonymous says:

You're ony reflecting your own corrupt mind. There is nothing in the bible that says that Jesus was ever in front of a brothel. Try actually reading the bible.

This is easy to solve, those of you that think this is disgraceful do the come the clubs.
For those of you that wish you were there [let’s be honest, all of you closet party animals], write your MLA to allow strip clubs!! Yeh!!

One girl is 18 and one is 21. Only 2 people to blame here:

    1. The girls

    2. The club owners

Re-posting naked pictures already in the public domain is not a crime. But what the girls and nightclub owner did could be.

For those of you wishing to shoot the messenger you are misguided and need to address the real issues here. For those who don't see anything wrong with it then expect to see more of this out there.

One girl has been very honest and posted after it went viral that it's her life and she can do as she pleases. XXXX

They are not the first girls in cayman to have this happen to them and it go viral and they won't be the last either

Prayers to all! Now let's discuss something else.

  7. Just Askin' says:

Should not now the DPP add charges to the long list of those against the distributor of these pictures relating to the illegal distribution of pornographic material?

    • Anonymous says:

Who's the distributor? The club owner? However put them out there is the distributor. Any other person(s) who reposts is NOT a distributor.

    • Anonymous says:

DPP would be wasting their time … Yet again!

  8. Henry says:

What do you expect when these behaviors are accepted and is the norm in society nowadays. Did'nt the Premier used to participate in Batabano?

We have sold our morals and soul for the almighty dollar. Greed is going to be death of this country. I hear some people wish for casinos, Sunday trading, legalized marajuiana, etc…if we lose our values what do you expect the children will do?

  9. Anonymous says:

Let’s drop this story now, there are way more important things to discuss.

We Caymanians just want the gossip… I fact I have read all the responses to this and I put money on it those standing up for the girls and those church people saying this is disgraceful, really want to see these pics..

We are such a fake nation, get over it the world is changing g and we have to follow.. If you don’t want too, move to the Brad, eastenders and or Northside!!

  10. Anonymous says:

If this was done in a private place and these pictures got out it would be abosolutely no one's business… However that is not the case.

There's nothing wrong with going out and having fun but you need to know your limit otherwise this is the consequence.

And to those stating maybe they were "drugged"… HA you have no idea what the children on this island are upto these days…

exactly! so does that mean that Sandra is in effect an alleged Sex Offender… oh my.

    • Anonymous says:

But by posting on a US site with a US based server, ie Facebook, then the transmission is subject to US law.  . .

      • Anonymous says:

Amazing how little you guys know about the law. It has nothing to do with Facebook and US Laws. If a crime is committed here it would be for the local authorities to pursue it and GUESS what it's done via the local ICTA networks. Learn before you guys were open your mouths what is really the case. Otherwise you just look like fools.SMH … idiots!

To anonymous post on Thursday, 12-6-14 @7:57am  Well I took your advice and saw the pics and yes I REPEAT I have seen worse at Batabanoo.  Hence your ignorance to think this is the worse thing going on in Cayman.  I will admit this kind of act should be done in the privacy of your bedroom but so should alot of things I have witnessed at Batabanoo.  Get over it!!!!!

  14. Anonymous says:

The amount of ignorance in these posts is fustrating to say in the least. Everyone is arguing information as if they know they are facts. I know for  FACT both girls are 18 or older, not that it justifies the behavior. Furthermore, from my knowledge alcohol interferes with irrational thinking so as cliche as it sounds to use an excuse it is valid. It does not justify the actions at all because the girls should have known not to consume as much alcohol as they did whilst in a rational state of mind. I know for a FACT that for one of the girls she did not remember the act until the pictures surfaced and waking up to that was a slap in the face to wake up. Once again that does not justify the actions but by people assuming that both of these girls are proud and posing is wrong. Additionally, to those who are backing up Sandra Catron, she was not "empowering young women" if that was the case she could have reached out to the ladies and made her point without posting the pictures further. It was bad enough the pictures were being ciruclated through the younger generation but many people in high positions whom would be employeers and scholarship providers fall into that category. By Sandra posting it, it ruined the girls' lives further. I know for a FACT that the next day one of the girls who was attempting to regain her scholarship which was previously lost weeks ago was contacted and informed that her appeal was denied and the pictures were discussed in the same conversation. I know for a FACT that Sandra bashed these girls as if she knew their character with no remorse and then denied it. As one of the girl had the respect to privately message her to reach out to her and defend herself against the bashing. But of course Cayman only has tunnel vision for the bad. These girls are afraid to even speak up about the true details because Cayman loves nothing more than to twist up facts and push people down. To the parents that agree with Sandra's actions I know you wouldnt be as appreciative if it was your daughter she was posting a picture of and bashing. I agree she had a good message in terms of warning other ladies but she did not have to bash the ones already suffering in order to get the point accross. I know many are saying we should not let me slip as a lesson needs to be learned but trust me lessons have been learnt and lives have been ruined. Not only these girls but their families also which is extreme punishment in itself. For you all who disagree and want to judge take a minute to read one sentence further…John 8:7 "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her"

It is sad and disgusting to say the least…

I feel sorry for the parents of these girls because I know some people are quick to blame parents for all of  their children downfalls but sometimes no matter what you teach a child at home when they wants to stray from that they will.

Maybe, this will be a lesson to other young women out there not to get into to that kind of negative limelight. I seen the pictures and it makes me feel sad to know that young women think they have to do this to get attention or become popular.

Shame on those that pass them around cause they're disgusting as well…

    • Anonymous says:

Sandra had them on facebook and she is the same one taking credit about helping young girls!!

    • Anonymous says:

For what I understand one of the girls has no memory of the  incident. They remember where they were before, but not going to or attending the party, so has it ever accured to anyone that there is a possibility of them being drugged before they got there or do we automatically judge them by the pictures. I know one of them and this is not their normal behavior! Something happened that night and their so call friends did noting to stop it. Now they see who their friends really are. Also, show me one person who hasn't made a mistake in their lives and I'll show you a liar!

  18. Anonymous says:

I have read everyone's comments and you all raise very valid points.  When I used to club this and worse happened but we didnt have smart phones to capture and spread what we saw.  I am not perfect and I have done things I regret, so I sincerely hope these young ladies learn better judgement.  Whether they were drunk, attention seeking or being egged on by others, today i hope they realise that those same "friends" and on lookers are not going to make up for whatever consequences they face as the result of this.

I also agree that adults fanning the fire by posting on social media was not useful.  I expected kids to do it but not a grown adult who should have better things to do.  There is a hypocrisy in that I have seen many so called professional women carry on the same way in bars and clubs in Cayman so let's just not pretend this is so new and surprising.  What it is, to me, is a stark reminder that we waste too much of our energy following images and preconceived notions of what we should be or how we should act when we should be focused on what is best for us.

Admittedly, I don't get todays young people (as I am sure my parents didnt get me!).  They are coming up in an age of technology and openness and freedom that I did not.  I sincerely hope they and others like them take a cold hard look at themselves and take ownership of their lives and who or what they let influence them.  Very sad.

  19. Anonymous says:

Anyone who saw the photos cant deny, they were quite sexy 😉

  20. Anonymous says:

From reading this post i guess it safe to assume that's the sexual act took place between only women? Was is a lesbian orgry? I have not seen the pictures but if they is a single male i them i am goin to officially declare that the reaction to this event is the reason there is such a strong rape culture in cayman.

Unfortunately young ladys you live in a country where men are respected regardless of their sexual outlets even it it be at the expense of a child, on the other had for women and young ladies we are expected to pretend that our blood doesn't run hot. We are suppose to be the gatekeepers of sexually morality. Gates men can walk freely through because apparently they were built being unable to see a woman as nothing more thats a sperm deposit box.

Pleae give me a break if you want things to change you have to raise both your men and women to respect themselves. Sex is natural, nakedness is natural, respect on the other hand is a learned behavior.

Well maybe you should consider taking your children to watch the Kid's Batabano the following week. There's a reason they separate the adult's and children's carnival.

  22. Caymanyan says:

I think its just downright disgraceful. This is what happens when people do things spur of the moment and dont stop to think about the repercussions. Wonder how they would feel to be the talk of the workplace. Or their parents workplace, or church, or anywhere they go? Young girls need to have more respect for themselves. They might think they are following trends and looking cool but in reality if you dont have respect for yourselves, who will. Stop following these celebsout there who sell their soul for a couple dollars. This is Cayman people! A small island where everything you do or say can spread faster than you would imagine. Im not saying you can do what you want with whomever you want but can you do so privately? People are not trust worthy and will do anything for the spotlight. Social media is good as well as bad. Remember that.

  23. Anonymous says:

The issue at hand is not WHAT these young girls were doing. Everyone has a right to live their lives in the way they choose to. The issue is the venue in which they chose to commit these acts. This was done in a nightclub, a PUBLIC setting, surrounded by several other individuals, men and women. They chose to act this way in front of an audience. People argue oh, they were drunk and didn't know what they were doing, or they say they're just young and having fun. This is not my definition of being young and having fun, this is careless, wreckless and indecent behavior. As for being drunk, as the old saying goes, if you can't handle it, leave it alone! If these girls conducted these acts in their bedrooms and a peeping tom took photos and distributed them, no one would have had a negative thing to say about them because their privacy was invaded, as opposed to committing sexual acts in public in front of an audience and knowing everyone owns a camera phone. I'm not sure what else they expected to happen.

  24. Michel says:

This did happen in private seeing as how it was only less than 10 people in the club at the time which were all thought to be close friends who are also adults who can by the law do whatever legal activities they want behind closed doors. it just so happened that one was not mature enough to keep what he saw to himself and had to share with the world…to one of the ladies involved she averaged a 3.8 GPA in college which is hard to say for most of us, we all mess up and we all have skeletons in our closest so if you live in a glass yourself don't throw stones

    • Anonymous says:

performing sexual acts in front of a crowd of "less than 10 people" (which I'm assuming you must have been there to know for sure) is not PRIVATE. If you have an audience this is now considered a PUBLIC act.

  28. Anonymous says:

This is not the least surprising. As an open minded former party animal I am rarely shocked by behaviour in night clubs but Elements was a new experience for me. I made the mistake of taking a visiting friend who wanted to hear old time Jamaican music. I was advised that Elements was the place to go for that on a Monday night. Well all I can say is that I lasted half an hour. The women seemed to be vying to see who wore the least clothes and slackness was the order of the night. Pure ghetto style and fashion. There is very little of value in such a place. Never me again do that. I hung up my night club shoes that night. Served me right.

We need to be teaching our children values because this is what happens.

I know they will think twice now and others.I see good in what she did. One day she may save your child life because of this. This kind of behavior leads to drugs, rape and murder. Some sick minded perve reads these actions the wrong way and we have a rape on our hands.

Thanks Sandra. You will no doubt take blows for this but THIS parent knows this was right to do.

Not a big deal??? how old is sandra? its one thing for pictures to be curculating but when you take it upon your self to go out of you way complain to the police and share them with all your friends, she is no better than any of those girls in the pictures or the people who took them. The damage was already done to them but why take it one step firther? Im know way am i trying to say what they did was right but what Sandra did was not right either. resulting in job loss and a scholarship denied. She has done more damage to these young girls lives than was alreasy done. What was her motive? Her actions lead me to think that she has something against the owner of the establishment and was trying to get them in trouble. Or maybe she is the one hungry for the attention. Grow up Sandra! We all make mistake but the difference is acknowleging and learning from them. Sandra and others are still in denial! I could send a reminder Sandra:)

Sandra should be ashamed of her self! If she wanted to do the right thing and empower young women, she would have reached out to them as a caring, honerable, humble and innocent person. She is a fake person trying to gain publicity at the cost of someone else's happiness. As this empowering roll model to women she claims to be she has done damage not only to the girls but to the parents and families that can never be mended. Two more of cayman's young people jobless & not able to get back her scholarship. People like her are the reason Cayman is th way it is. As young people they deserved a second chance regardless if they were drugged or not and Sandra deprived them of that. What goes around comes around. There is a reason why Sandra cant get a job as a lawyer. Firms see her more as a liability from the beggining rather than a potential asset.

Women are too often willing to subject themselves to this kind of activity to get attention.  Go to school, work on your education, class and have the decency to be a professional woman.  Almost always, it is the women looking for a man to care for her and give her attention that end up these situations.  Be independent, be proud of yourself and stop allowing these kinds of activities to give you fullfillment.

If we lead people to believe that women in Cayman are like this then we will be considered sexual objects as long as time can tell.

The problem is Cayman loves to blow up the negative but ignores the positives. Before you assume that the activities gave the girls fulfillment you should have remember you do not know who they are nor their character. Who are you to say these women are not respected professionals in the financial industry? That is not work hours. They could be on vacation or very capable of producing excellent work the following day and have a good time the night before. This so called scandal is each individuals own personal business.

It is interesting how it is the woman's fault.

Disgrace to the Cayman race!!! Find a hotel room or go home, these young people have no pride. If I had my way with them they would all be rubbed down with cowitch especially in their private parts~~bet they would think twice the next tome?

Ah sexual assault as a remedy and punishment, how Christian of you

  37. Anonymous says:

I have not seen the pics but I am sure it is nothing worse than I have seen at Batabanoo.

    • Anonymous says:

So right you are.  I've seen things done in broad daylight during Batabano in George Town that even a liberally minded person like myself found embarrasing, mainly because there were children around.  But no one ever says a word about that because our honourable premier is one of the people half-dressed in the parade!  What goes on in the privacy of one's bedroom is between the people in the bedroom, but Cayman has completely lost its moral compass and we can't blame expats for that one.

    • Anonymous says:

The pics are XXX rated. they look like playboy stars. Like you said, you haven't seen them, hence your ignorance. Stupid to comment on something you don't have all the facts about. Take a look at the pics, and then come back and comment. I would LOVE to hear how you defend such indecent behaviour then. Take into account that one of these girls is 17!

Wo Ho, I'll be there this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sounds like my type of place..

SEx Rompas.  I would have though that after closing hours the night clubs could play catch the ball.

  40. Anonymous says:

    This is quite funny.

Has anyone ever been to Batabano? Simulated sex acts, drunk semi-clad women and men of all ages walking down the middle of the West Bay Rd. This is somehow acceptable and encouraged!

This particular incident happens inside a nightclub and now this type of behaviour makes headlines…this island has gone freekin mad!

    • Anonymous says:

13:20 you are absolutely correct.   Look what happens in the middle of  George Town in front of children.  If that is not sex romping, then my name is not Jack the Ripper.

The person who  reported this to the commiioner of  police did so with a reason behind it.  He should have gone home to his wife.

    • Anonymous says:

You obviously haven't seen the pics or video.

    • Anonymous says:

@ 13:20 – Batabano (Carnival) is completely different from having sex in a public place, lets be real here! That was a nightclub, not a brothel or motel and they should have more respect for themselves, it is disgraceful and lets not even start to blame consumption of alcohol as the culprit.  Keep your private sexcapades behind private closed doors.

    • Anonymous says:

But Batabano is part of di kulcher man, so is okay

    • Anonymous says:

But Batabano is Government sponsored and someone is making money from it. When the clubs get involved in this sort of competition they worry that someone else is going to make money and more than them. Soon all of the clubs will be doing it so it has to be shut down.

Got it? That is why you can't get approval for anything, they are afraid that you will make more than them. Money rules, who has it is in control and it better not be someone they do not like.

I've seen some of the photos circulating.  As a woman, and mother of a little girl I find it absolutely disgusting and completely reprehensible.  These girls should be ashamed of themselves. To a certain degree, I feel sorry for them and would blame the parents, friends, alcohol, etc…but that would be wrong. It's their own fault and I will not feel sorry for their lack of common sense.  This is not acceptable behaviour. It's not sexy.  It's not attractive.  It's not what you do because you're "young and dumb".  It's humiliating and it's something that will follow you around forever.

Let this be a lesson to other girls…you alone dictate to people how you wish to be treated.  Clearly these girls have no self respect and are in dire need of help.

    • Anonymous says:

      It was pretty sexy actually.

    • Dave says:

      It is kinda sexy.

    • Anonymous says:

Great comment. I bet those thumbs down or troll that you got are from men, who condone this type of behaviour. Who LIKE what they see. These girls are both under the age of 19. One is possibly 17 years old. It's disgusting and as you said, it's not sexy.

      • Anonymous says:

Yes they maybe under the age of 19 but obviously over the age of 16……..Good to go according to CI law!

      • Anonymous says:

Try 18 and 21. They were adult enough to go out in the clubs drinking adn carrying on.

    • Anonymous says:

How "As a woman, and mother of a little girl" did you get to see whatever these pictures are? If  "This is not acceptable behaviour" then do not use the internet where you can see this material. I have obviuosly been on the internet today and not had to suffer seeing them, but I am going to deliberately search them out now!

    • Anonymous says:

This is another problem with Caymanians, we assume the worst. Do you know these girls personally to say that they are proud of this behaviour? I personally know one of them are EXTREMELY ashamed and remorseful. I agree there is no one to blame but themselves for allowing that much alcohol consumption to the point of not remember or realizing (as is the case with one of them). To assume and say the lack common sense is wrong because I am sure many of us have done things the only difference is we did not get caught. They are humilated enough and having people who have no clue who they really are bash them is enough. Just remember words are as bad as a bullet.

    • Anonymous says:

Don't worry, this will catch up with them. People still haven't caught on to the fact that pictures which are circulated around will be around forever and that many employers and high profile schools will search the internet to see if any of their potential employees or students have been involved in some sort of controversial behavior………

    • Anonymous says:

could not have said it any better!

  42. Anonymous says:

I find it hard to care about this. Adults doing adult stuff in private…so what?

    • Anonymous says:

Except it wasn't a private place at all, but a night club.

    • Anonymous says:

Someone is annoyed that someone else is havng more fun than they are so they complained.

    • Anonymous says:

what is private about a nightclub???

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, that's right, "in private" and anyone can do whatever they want "in private", its when its done in public places that we have an issue with it and that is the reason why this is a real issue.

I have better things to do on a Sunday than waste it listening to that holy crap!
