Second short quake recorded south of Grand Cayman

| 04/09/2014

(CNS): The earth was moving again yesterday evening when a second earthquake was recorded in the Cayman area on the same day. This time the tremor registered 5.3 on the Richter scale slightly higher than the morning quake but was a little further away. According to the US Geological Survey the epicenter of the Wednesday’s second quake which happened at 6:34pm was around 27 miles south of George Town at a depth of just over six miles. This followed the morning earthquake of 5.1 some 22 miles south of Grand Cayman at around 5am. There were no reports of any damage or injuries in either event. See details here

For 10:18 and all those like minded-

It's sinners.  You should know how to spell what you are.  Anyway God can do whatever He feels like.  He just happened to create certain countries in certain areas.  Some have tornadoes, some tsunamis, some earthquakes and hurricanes.  So you see whether it's wind, rocks or water He's going to get everyone at their appointed time.  Just happy to know some of us are ready for that.  Are you?  Oh and be careful crossing the street.

This earthquack is clearly the result of the EXPATS taking over Cayman and corrupting our CHRISTIAN ways. GOD is angry. If my fellow Caymanians STOP having gey sex with foreigners and read your bibles the LORD will stop these earthquacks.

Keep your anti-Christ comments to yourself…please! nobody cares to hear them.

its our choice to follow our Christ and your choice to follow the Devil. in this world there are two Spirits, light and darnkness. Good and evil. Most mankind hate the light, it exposes their evil deeds, so they shun the light.

Mankind might shun the light but he is not going to  escape  his judgement for his dark deeds.

God bless you all and have a nice day!

If we promise to keep our 'anti Christ' comments to ourselves will you keep your 'pro Christ' comments to your self? sounds like a good deal to me

Not to worry, those who believe nothing will happen keep believing it, nothing to worry about just another day in paradise living it up and living ungodly. As for me and my house we will keep the faith in God.

See how the churches twist everything here? You are supposed to love God and they neighbour and fear satan. Lots of love on here, mostly of thyself. Pride is a sin too.

My bed was shaking last night too… But it was after the earthquake…

Thank the Lord Jesus above that this is one thing that can't be blamed on foreigners or those with Cayman Status.

    • Anonymous says:

I blame the Status Grants.  For everything.  They were illegal don't you know.  Honesty.  But we did nothing.  Because then we could moan about them forever, rather being told they were legal.  So I blame them.

I'm confused, we thank lord Jesus for keeping us safe but then people say that god caused the earthquake?? It's like a stranger coming up to you, pulling a gun and then not firing a shot? do we thank him for not firing or do we call him a jerk for pulling a gun and scaring the bejesus out of us?

For God sake please stop  making fun of Caymanians. Also to the other post there is no Caymanian so stupid as to blame the bunch of you ungratefuls for an earthquake. However I will say that even such a disaster as an earthquake would not let you want to go back to your Country.

Why does CNS automatically assume no damage?  No building collapses maybe, but not damage free.  I'm going to have some bills.

On January 19th 2010 when Cayman experienced a 5.9 shake, I felt it but my wife who was in an office in Savannah at the time, didn’t.  During the rest of that day I met several people who hadn’t felt anything either and they were pretty cross about it.

Because the Richter Scale is logarithmic, a 5.9 earthquake is 6x more powerful than a 5.3 (a 6 is ten times more energetic than a 5).

You may have bills.  So do I.  But I promise you and everyone else that your bills have nothing to do with the 5.3 earthquake you may have experienced.

The article above is man's version of the quakes, but it is very interesting to read Matthew chapter 24 and begin reading at Verse 5 on through 39. God loved us so much he gave us a choice to serve Him or reject him, choose your destiny, and belive me the world will one day come to an end. No way in this world can all the happenings continue without reprocusion! The crimes, killings, robberies, kidnapping, prostitution, extortion, overcharging, the love of money and the list can go on for miles and miles. The only hope for this world is for the Creator to come and destroy sin forever. This earth needs a cleansing!  And I am not going to mention other countries around the world, right here in Cayman we have enough garbage to clean up and all the above crimes mentioned are very prevelant in Cayman. The crime of extortion and overcharging thy brother has become a national pleasure to the billing community, every month an additional fee is attached to our bills, if someone do a little job for you they charge you an arm and also ask for the leg. What has become of this country, just killing the poor, marrying , eating, partying and not even realising the days of Noah are righ here upon us. Caymanians get your house in order, the way we are forced to live now is far from the foundation laid down for us by our forefathers, gone are the days of our heritage for hard work, honesty and a Godly atmosphere. It is ALL for the money now. God have merey on us all!

You do understand that for all the power of God he is only able to 'cause' earthquakes along plate tectonic fault plates. One might have thought if he was that powerful he could 'cause' and earthquake anywhere on the planet he wanted? Or perhaps siners coincidentally only live along plate boundaries???

      • Anonymous says:

He created the world- just maybe he put the plates exactly where he wanted them from the begining!!.  When the big one come it will break open the Mt. of Olives!! He already set that up too.

      • Anonymous says:

PS Not all earthquakes occur along plate edges.

I guess you just gave us evidence that there is a God.

        Thanks

Who told you that his punishments were confined to earthquakes? You're not thinking too clearly.

You will see and feel his power very soon. I hope for the sake of the few righteous that are in these islands he will put the lamb’s blood over the door as he did during the Passover. Thank you God for your power and ability to ignore the ignorance of unbelievers. I pray that the love of God will surround the Cayman Islands and in the process cleanse these islands and return the hearts of your people back to you. This country longs for your presence and ask that you take us back to the place where we once believed, trusted and worshiped you in all things.

        • Anonymous says:

Please define 'very soon'. Christians have been saying that the end days are coming for over a thousand years. When year 999 ad ticked over to 1,000 ad Christians around Europe were convinced the end was nigh. Again during the black death – probably mankinds lowest point in the last 3,000 years at least – Christians were saying how the end was coming, soon the lord would take them away. This has been going on for a thousand years so what makes this time different? The world is a much safer, kinder less violent place today then it has ever been. There is far less murder, rape, child molestation now then in at least 2,000 years so why is God coming now??? doesn't seem to make any sense. Does he plan to destroy everything when the world is actually doing pretty well? what an odd god you have

Your ignorance is amusing. Thank you for the laugh, I am sure God is laughing at you too.
