Motorbike rider critical following mystery crash
(CNS): Police are seeking witnesses to a collision on Friday night at around 10:20 on Jefferson Road in West Bay. Police and emergency services received a report that a man had fallen off his motor cycle but the circumstance surrounding the incident are unclear. The rider was taken to the George Town Hospital by ambulance where he was admitted in critical condition. The RCIPS are asking anyone who may have seen what happened or who has any information relative to the collision to contact the George Town Police Station or the investigating officer Police Constable Chong at 949-4222 or the nearest Police Station.
Robbery at WB booze shop
(CNS): A masked armed man escaped with an unknown sum of cash on Friday night after a robbery at a West Bay liquor store. Police said the cashier at Joe Ena's Liquor Store on West Church Street was held up at gun point at 9:51pm last night by an armed man who was described as being about 5'8" to 5'9", dressed in full black, wearing a mask, speaking with a Caymanian accent. The suspect made his escape on foot from the premises with the cash but police were unable to say in which direction he fled. Police also suspect that the robber was assisted by a second person who remained outside the store in a white top.
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
