Cops ask for help in finding missing cash register

| 11/09/2014

(CNS): The RCIPS have now revealed that they are looking for a cash register which was stolen during a robbery on Friday night at Joe Ena’s liquor store. A police spokesperson said the armed, masked man had fled the scene carrying the entire till from the store on West Church Street, West Bay on 5 September. The register is described as a Toshiba TEC 1450-1 which had some of its keys worn down to the metal. The robber was last seen on foot running towards the bushes opposite Joe-Ena’s Liquor Store.

Police had stated earlier that they believed the man killed in a motorcycle crash some 40 minutes after the stick-up, in Jefferson Road, may have been involved in the crime.

Anyone who may have information for the investigation team is asked to contact either Detective Sergeant Sean Lloyd-Hickey or Detective Constable Ross Johnson at the Drugs and Serious Crime Task Force at 949-7710, the RCIPS tip line on 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477 (TIPS)

Why are the cops wasting energy trying to recover the worn out register?!?  How about catching these miserable thieves?!?

  2. Anon says:

Did they look in the "bushes opposite" the store. Opposite (on the opposite side of the store) the store is an open lot.
