Gas being 2.5 time the price in Miami (where it comes from) i am not so upset about this robbery. Other than the mental suffering of the employees that work there for 7$ an hour.

Overcharging people for gas is robbery on itself.

To give a sense of the mentality of our "leaders" here, a very prominent "leader" in our educational system in charge of one of our educational institutions actually said at a meeting that we need to offer all people hitchhiking a ride, because you do not know if that same person will be in a position that will have your life in thier hands, like a robber holding you at gunpoint.

In a nutshell, be nice, becuase if you are not, that person may rob you, and as a leader, I am OK with that. SMH, crime is approved by the very leaders who are to stop it. Trash begets trash.

17:37.It is said that it is better to remain quiet and be thought of as a fool, than to open one's mouth and rempve all doubt. You just removed all doubt.I believe what was said can be summed up this way "Be nice to people,as you never know when you might need their help'

Some people can not suffer fools as easily as others. A particular variety of fool who is sorrounded by yes men needs to surpress and distract free thinkers to protect his fake since of dignity…..We can set up a fake million dollar drive and I will donate a million dollars if you answer directly without the trash talking.

Lets all be quiet, because that will at least prove to others I am not a fool….sounds like only a fool woud believe that nonsense from a bully who cant communicate.

How many of these crimes were committed by Americans and Canadians?  Zero?

Blanket statements about immigration are clearly faulty.  We should be letting in those who come to WORK and CONTRIBUTE to Cayman.

Are these the only places we get expats from?

This is not in the best interest of Cayman as a country.

      • Fred the Piemaker says:

Its unfair competition for local thieves – the expats dont even need a work permit.

    • Northern Blights says:

History shows that our greatest bandits have been Canadians. From the 70s (Interbank anyone) to the present day (that guy who recently stole $800,000 from a law firm).

But to their credit they have always been polite about it and never waived a gun at anyone eh?

23:54, the thief from the law firm was South African you dimwit.

        • Anonyanmous says:

23:54 he came here as a Canadian citizen not a citizen of SA so you are the dimwit.  Maybe if he came as a citizen of SA his extensive criminal record would have been revealed to us.

        • Dim Bulb says:

I meant the Canadian woman who stole $2,000,000 from the old man. My bad.

    • Anonyanmous says:

Check Northward or the courts office and you will see just how many crimes are committed by Canadians, Amercian I would venture to say Zero but Canada has it fair share in prison here.

    • Marrytimes says:

It is true that a lot of vulnerable Caymanian men have been stolen and kept as husbands by wicked Canadian women!

It is useless if you are going to have police patrolling without guns.  If I was an officer confronted with a gunman I would run for my life and try and duc from all the shots being fired at me. My flashlight and button cannot combat guns.

    • Anonyanmous says:

The UK which Cayman belongs to have the same policy and the UK is many times bigger. Their officer are not armed with guns and they have a very civil society.  Cayman is just fine the way it is without armed officers, all we need is a better police force, replace 75% of the usless officers and recruit primarily from Barbados, North America and Europe.

        UK….Civil? Says who?

The new trend now in England, specifically, is thowing acid in peoples face! ok?

        ACID!

Say that when you or yours ends up being caught in the cross fire.  America is no safer for having an armed police force.

  6. Cayman Bankrupt says:

Yes 804 we have the highest police officers per captia in the world and the largest budget in the world. No worries bro our great leader is giving them even more money and more unemployed are heading our way from overseas the 100,000 population quota will be reached. What a really sad state of affairs this place is in? Don't hate the Player though hate the UK's little Game and the idiots who keep letting it happen to Cayman.

    • anonymous says:

Anything over 80,000 population is ideal for income tax. 100,000 is a bonus.

I don't think the UK will be that concerned when that happens as then it will be self sustaining and have a revenue generating operating platform.

That will be when the chord is cut and the raft is set adrift.

    • Anonyanmous says:

Not to worry won't happen, without the UK little game or not this rock will sink faster than the Titanic.

  7. RP says:

CNS please set up a new section under crime entitled "Today's Muggings".  Also a poll would be nice "Who do you think will get mugged tomorrow?". Tx!

    • Anonymous says:

15:33, good call, however I believe two categories would be more appropriate, (1) "Street Muggings"and (2) "Government Theft".

    • Anonymous says:

The simple answer to that is "the people", but not all of them especially those feeding at the trough!

  8. Anonymous says:

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. Well, There you have it, I guess no harm done..

  9. Anonymous says:

Since GT has become a hot bed for crime more patrol around business establishments are needed these scum bags need to see a police officer everywhere.  We have enough police officer to send these hogs into the ground until groundhog days.

    • Anonymous says:

Good luck with getting more police presence in GT. We are still waiting for more in WB as well since the shootings several weeks ago!
