US hospitality firm says challenges for regional hotels

(The Jamaica Observer): In a report released Thursday, the Atlanta, Georgia-based PKF Hospitality Research, an affiliate of PKF Consulting, said the combination of a slow US economy, increased competition, rising energy costs, and threats of reduced air service could result in lower levels of occupancy and profits for the region’s hotel owners and operators.
