CAL cancels Miami & Cuba but adds Sister Islands

(CNS): UPDATE: Cayman Airways is cancelling flights to Miami and Cuban on Tuesday due to the current projected path of Hurricane Ike and having cancelled all domestic flights today between the three islands, it has added extra domestic services for tomorrow.  CAL said that passengers should contact their travel agents or Cayman Airways Ticket Office for travel arrangements.

Today’s Inter-island flight cancellations are as follows. 4421 GCM-CYB-LYB-GCM; 4422 GCM-LYB-CYB-GCM; 4622 CYB-LYB-GCM; 4424 GCM-CYB-LYB-GCM and 4425 GCM-LYB-CYB-GCM.

The airline announced on Sunday afternoon the following cancellations to Cuba and Miami: KX102 GCM-MIA (Tuesday, Sept. 09, 2008); KX103 MIA-GCM (Tuesday, Sept. 09, 2008); KX2832 GCM-HAV (Tuesday, Sept. 09, 2008) and KX2833 HAV-GCM (Tuesday, Sept. 09, 2008).

CAL has now added KX4423 Grand Cayman to Cayman Brac tomorrow at 11:30: KX4423 Cayman Brac- Little Cayman 12:35 and Little Cayman -Grand Cayman at 12:45

CAL said that passengers should contact their travel agents or Cayman Airways Ticket Office for alternate travel arrangements and only two changes per ticket are permitted. For passengers who decide to cancel their reservations, a travel voucher for the full value of the ticket may be issued. This voucher must be issued before departure of original travel date and is valid for travel only on Cayman Airways for a year from the date of issuance.

Due to the uncertainty of the weather situation surrounding Hurricane Ike, passengers are advised to check the Cayman Airways website at www.caymanairways.com or with the Cayman Airways Reservations Department at 949-2311for the latest flight information.
