(BBC): There has been a shake-up at the top of West Indies cricket team. Chris Gayle has been sacked as West Indies captain and replaced by St Lucian all-rounder Darren Sammy. Brendon Nash has also been appointed vice-captain. Jamaican batsman Gayle, 31, had been in charge of the side since 2007. But his future as skipper was in doubt after he turned down the offer of a central contract with the board. The West Indies Cricket Board may also have decided it was time for a change as the side languishes at seventh in the international Test rankings table and eighth in the one-day ladder the West Indies Cricket Board has made a change.
