Instead of burning these drugs, why don’t we sell them from OUR  government to states that have legalized drugs for medical use like California and Arizona?  We get rid of the drugs and make some cash at the same time.  Anyone else wish that 2.75 million went into the deficit instead of "up in smoke"?????

One of the things that I do not understand about policing in the Cayman Islands is the idea that police do not know where illegal drug activity occurs within the country.

Every neighborhood knows where the crime and drug activity exists so why don’t the police know and do something about it?

Police often know where this activity is happening and who is doing it.  Proving it in court is a very different thing.  Police have to ensure they have a bullet proof case (even harder around here) before arresting suspects.  If an arrest is made to early then the suspect has a much easier time being found not-guilty.  I think the police have been doing a much better job and things are starting to work themselves out.  How about we all give them a little bit of room and a pat on the back once in awhile.

Honestly, things have been pretty quiet (serious) crime-wise as of late.

Someone must be doing something right.

Keep it up fellas and ladies.

    FACT:

While it may appear quite, there are crimes not being reported to the media, or none of the media are picking up on them, just like the home invasion in South Sound this week, that I have not read a thing about anywhere.  What else is the RCIP not sharing????

Everyone knows who the dealers are and where they are.  For years the cops left them alone.  This feels like a long overdue crackdown.  If I ran this place I’d arrest them and fly them to the UK for trial.  Rendition flights to remove them from local society until sorted.  That would avoid jury tampering.

Very good to see that the RCIPS is getting something done, even though it takes a lengthy and challenging process to actually prove and prosecute these criminals, this is at least a start.  Please keep up the good work!
