What about the 2 people who were caught with 2lbs of ganja they were given Caymanian Status, maybe this young person will be given an OBE. I would expect nothing less if foreign nationals caught with 2lbs of ganja is given CS and freedom then our own deserves nothing less.

______MARIJUANA THIS … MARIJUANA THAT! _____

Marijuana is also a drug correct! …

But honestly why focus so much on Marijuana (Ganja) so much? …

When there are bigger fish to fry ( more serious crimes to be solved) and no people I'm not saying leave out capturing criminals that may use/sell this drug but honestly the police same to focus more on this matter rather than the more serious crimes such as : MURDER AND ROBBERY!

These just so happened to be the most crimes that are frequently occuring within our islands yes I do agree that ALL CRIMINALS should be placed behind bars if they have commited crimes that would harm the community and the people of the community.

How about focusing on (ALL OF THOSE UNSOLVED MURDERS!)

(THOSE ARE IMPORTANT CRIMES WHICH SHOULD AND NEEDS TO BE SOLVED! ASAP! THERE ARE FAMILIES OUT THERE STILL WAITING FOR AN ANSWER … AN ANSWER THAT THE ONES WHO MURDERED THEIR LOVED ONES ARE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE!)

I agree Yo! … READ ME!!!!

And it is not the ganja smokers doing the crime, it is the people addicted to crack and just plain greed.  Ganja should be left alone, after all it is one of Mother Nature's gifts.  It is grown naturally, does not need anything to grow, except the sun, dirt and water—all natural ingredients.  Start spending time on the violent crimes and robberies.  Breaking on the ganja is not going to help the people of Cayman!  Look at the news worldwide, they are making it a misdemeanor.  If you are caught with it, within a reasonable amount, you get a fine.  No criminal charges!!  It cost too much to bust on the people who smoke the all natural!  The states are taking their money and spending it more on immigration issues, education issues and employment issues.  The more important things, the fines will benefit the issues they will be working on.

Seems the premier wants to build up the economy with DEVELOPMENT, maybe he should be DEVELOPING the people!

So it is ok to cultivate ganja, smoke it , exchange it for guns and ammo. kill one another over it, export it ,import it. Just where you get your logic from? HAVE YOU BEEN READING INTERNATIONAL news on crimes in other parts of the world? We law abiding citizens and residents of the Cayman Islands don't share your view. Crime is crime not only when it affects one sector of the society but all of it. Many murders had their origin in the consumption or otherwise in ganja. I am ashame of your intelligence and reasoning. Boy what a great gift is freedom of expression eh? Because of this right we hear some secrets of the heart of men especially when you can hide behind a media like CNS and be anonymous.

Its also becasue the "murderers" where black clothes and can run away, Gangja is green, grows in the ground and cant escape unless its into ones lungs or mind, so its easy for them to find. The smell might also be a giveaway….
