Health care costs make government ill

(CNS Business): As the spiraling cost of healthcare has been a significant contributor to the government’s growing expences, everyone on the island must play their part to help reduce the public healthcare bill, Health Minister Mark Scotland has said. Aside from encouraging the population to live healthier lifestyles, the minister said he wants to see far more healthcare services provided on island to reduce the necessity for people, particularly those for whom government has to paytheir health insurance costs, going overseas to seek medical assistance.  “We encourage any effort that the private sector may make in developing healthcare services on island,” he stated.
