Cayman labour laws harmful to fund industry

(CNS Business): Even though industry professionals are confident that the fund product Cayman produces is the best in the world and beats all competitors, the country’s labour laws that require professionals to leave after seven years,do not help growth in the industry because they harm relationships and are not conducive to attracting and retaining the level of professionalism the industry needs for continued success. Industry leaders speaking at this year’s Cayman Fund Focus, organised by Campbells and held at The Ritz-Carlton last week, said that the issue was a big threat, looking ahead, and that the island’s competitors were better positioned in this regard.
