Dart wins bid to generate future power

electricity-meter.jpg(CNS): Speculation that DECCO, a subsidiary of the Dart group, had been selected by the ERA to generate additional future power on Grand Cayman has been confirmed. CUC announced Monday morning that it had been informed that DECCO had won the bid to build two new generators. Last year CNS was informed by sources close to the ERA that Dart had been selected as the preferred bidder and submitted questions to Joey Ebanks, the ERA chairman. Ebanks said at the time that there was no preferred bidder however, only a preferred bid but the analysis was not yet complete.
