Lets face it cayman isn’t safe anymore. Residents are be burglarized and tourists are being robbed in broad daylight! Something needs to be done or we going to lose our position as a great vacation destination and a place to work and live.

UDP you still believe those 3000 status grant helped our country to move ahead?

What on earth does status do with robbery? Take your head out of the sand idiot, its mainly Caymanians who commit the crime on this island, take a look at Northward.

I can be absolutely confident that the NS robbery was a local crack head or drunk who in his spare time steals conch, lobster and breaks into houses.

Why doesn't Ezzard do something about his own problems instead of getting involved with others?

The real problem is that Cayman isn't safe in the hands of Caymanians.

I suppose you would prefer to sleep with your cousins to grow this country. If you ever stopped to use your brain you would recognise that a small society just as this needs outsiders for it to survive. Futhermore, what evidence is there to suggest that it's the status holders who are committing the crimes? Last time I read CNS confirmed that 80% of crime is done by Caymanians and the lastnames of the culprits are dead giveaways.

      • Anonymous says:

Actually the last names are most often not dead giveaways at all. Caymanians at the prison include status holders.

          Prove it.

          • Anonymous says:

Actually, the onus is on you to prove your assertion that 80% of crimes are committed by native (non-status holder) Caymanians whose last names are a dead giveaway.  Newsreports and prison statistics do not ever refer to persons who are charged or convicted as status holders, when indeed some are, but as Caymanians. They are all lumped together.

Names like Santamaria, Bonilla, Ricketts, Bayley, Silburn, Fuentes, Duncan, Morales-Alvares, Barrett, Burrell, Suberan, Varona, Samuels etc. etc.are not dead give-aways for native Caymanians.

Now please keep your bigoted self quiet.

Okay. According to HM Inspectorate of Prisons Report 2012 the following is recorded by The Cayman Islands Prison Service:

              Population total = 209 prisoners.

              Caymanian = 80.2% (168 prisoners)      Other nationalities = 19.8%

              Black British/Caribbean = 91.88%           Other Black = 5.58

Mixed = 0% That's just hilarious considering the racial mix on this island.

There is no such thing as a native Caymanian, you are all immigrants.

Enough said. Keep your own racist, bigoted and xenophobic views to yourself moron.

Listen idiot, if you carry on thinking that this little rock can sustain a population from such a very small gene pool then you have proven my point. Immigration and inter racial breeding between nationalities has always been the growth behind the Cayman population. If you don't then you will have no choice but to breed with your relatives, resulting in an even smaller gene pool and even more dummys like you.

You are all paper Caymanians, in fact you are actually paper British Citizens so get over it.

ps. Unless you are a Bodden or a Watler who can trace an unbroken lineage then you're not an 'original Caymanian' anyway.

When white collar crimes are committed I guess they are committed by Caymanians.  The locals don't need a work permit as of now but I guess, that will be our next resort to get a job.

The locals are always frowned upon, for trying to take away your jobs.

    Thugs.
Come on Gov. and Private Sector: Employed people have pride and don’t rob. We need to get people back to work.
And families need to police their own too! Stop the drug trade and get a decent job young men?

Too much hustling on the streets, far too many Native Caymanians unemployed, this is the direct results of the 2003 status grants.  Caymanians you were warned this is the results, fast becoming like the island next door.  BVI is looking more appealing each day.

    • Like It Is says:

No-one needs to turn to crime in Cayman as there are plenty of jobs.  The only reason someone turns to crime is because they are morally broken.

We need to revoke the illegal Mac status grants and export our crime problem.
