Two arrested following GT street robbery

(CNS): Two suspects were arrested following the report of a street robbery in George Town shortly after midnight Sunday morning. At about 12:30am a report was received by the emergency call centre that there had been a hold-up in the vicinity of Red Gate Road in the industrial area of George Town involving three men with what appeared to be a firearm and a knife. In a very short statement, an RCIPS spokesperson said officers responded and arrested two people. There were no details of how many people were robbed, whether they were male or female or what, if anything, was taken or if anyone was hurt.Nor did police reveal the ages or gender of the two people arrested in connection with the incident.
