Man shot in West Bay
(CNS): Police have confirmed that one man was injured in a West Bay shooting Saturday evening. Although the RCIPS has yet to release full details, officers said the incident took place on Powell Smith Drive off Town Hall road in West Bay at around 9:30pm, when the 22-year-old was said to have been hit more than once when shots were fired at a house. Police are still processing the scene and a number of spent shells have been been recovered at the property where police found multiple gun shot holes in the walls. The victim who was conscious when paramedics arrived is currently being treated for his injuries at the hospital in George Town where he is described as being in a serious but stable condition.
An RCIPS spokesperson said a more comprehensive report would be released later gut there have been no arrests and so far no motive for the shooting has been established.
