This is all too common. Millionsof dollars wasted on many different avenues that are suppose to be made to make this country safer and give our youth a stable start. We have world-class playing sports fields that are not being used properly that could facilitate many activites for our youngsters. Many things like the millions on CCTV have to be purchased with some other agenda as they are simply not bearing fruits. This is like a baren tree, Many crimes are being committed but there is no evidence that these CCTV's are bearing the fruit of thier costs. Why have them if they are not useful? A few select few are profiting from this scheme. People need to be held accountable. Mr. Baines has not answered to his duty. We have high crime, and a few people within our community that are not of experieced mind, along with a British Governor that allow him to stay another 4 years. Why?We are not living in a low crime jurisdiction. He has not stopped or measurably put a dent in violent crime. He sings the same need more resourses song and then gets it, and then comes back a few years later with the same tune. Something has to change. The Polictical arm of the government can do much in terms of rehab, school programs etc. The Enforcment Branch of the Government needs to stop paying lip service to the problem of crime. There primary focus is to put people who break laws in court to be dealt with. Full stop. Not worry about rehab. The RCIP leadership is parell to someone who needs to take that little purple pill. THEY ARE IMPOTENT AS A POLICING AGENCY.
I think the Cayman National Bank robbers will probably disagree with you on that last one.
But hey, whey you are bitter with an axe to grind, any avenue or political snipe will do I guess.
All this money spent on this grand foreign run law enforcement apparatus & scam and this grand camera scheme is just a Farce! Just like those who are running it, are we truly any safer ?do criminals respect law ? are we even getting any justice? When people can no longer get out of their cars to enter their own homes without their life being threatened is truly sad and a disgrace!
Crack Head. When the bartenders, wait staff, lawyers, bankers, politicians, accountants, locally unemployable, and doctors (you know who you are) stop SNORTING THE PERUVIAN CHOWDER, the dealers will have no business and go away. When the dealers go away the common crack head will not have easy access to his fix. When the common crack head cannot get his fix he will have no reason to rob a man on the street.
cayman gone.
I would think that chowder would be quite hard to snort.
Do they serve it in a bread bowl?
Legalize it. Regulate it. Tax it.
It is not my problem that the crack heads can’t handle their drugs.
Instead of Julie and her crew trotting around the globe with their "personal assistants'' and "drivers", they should have been addressing the socio-economic issues that is causing this sort of behavior to occur. But instead, they spending their time trying to sever their navel string from Mac. News flash, too late!!!
only Ezzard's CCTV working or what?
wha happento the big million $ setup Mr. Eric?
They are busy monitoring campaign posters against vandalism.
The police need to patrol Ketura Street more because it has a high percentage of expats who work in the hospitality industry and they seem to be easy targets for criminals who are out seeking an opportunity to rob. These crime of opportunities are fast spilling in the neighbourhoods that were once quiet and crime free this is a very sad case and the government need to address this fast.
Excellent observation and comment.
