Sun halo appears in lunchtime sky

| 08/05/2013

sun halo.JPG(CNS): The relatively uncommon but beautiful phenomenon of a solar halo was visible in the sky over Grand Cayman on Wednesday lunchtime when a perfect rainbow circle appeared around the sun. According to scientists, the prism effect of these sun rainbows are caused when the light from the sun is seen through high, thin cirrus clouds that are made of ice crystals. Although not necessarily rare, they are not an everyday sight and are incredible things to see when they do appear.

We saw the exact same ring over here in the Brac and Little Cayman. Please don’t fool yourselves into thinking only Cayman gets to see God’s glory.

Factual observation is credited to fictional anthropological construct.  Simple really.

Don't you know that in Cayman, every single thing is a result of God's Glory. Get with the program, its not like this sun halo had anything to do with atmospheric conditions.

What does this sun halo have to do with God?

  2. Anonymous says:

Not to be picky or anything, but did you really have to make this all about the halo over Grand Cayman? The Brac & Little Cayman benefit from the same sun.

    • Anonymous says:

Yes, but being some 85 or so miles away, the exact same atmospheric conditions were not present over the Sister Islands, and thus they did not see a sun halo that particular day.

    • Yeah but... says:

Except they don't get a halo, because of their leadership…

    Hmmm … coincidence??

    • Diogenes says:

Don't tell me the UK government is behnd this too!  Those pesky colonialists cannot leave us to even enjoy our sunshine in peace.

Really – a natural phenomenon is now a "coincidence??"?

    • Anonymous says:

Na Whodatis, this unnatural phenomenon was caused by all the hot air coming out of Mac and other mouths, floating up into atmosphere and causing distortions, as on earth as it in heaven!
